Bent Eggert Sørensen

Since 1995 I have painted non-figurative abstractions in oil.

My father painted figurative works from 1942 to 2006 and became a kind of mentor to me. He was immensely skilled – a firm teacher who guided me through the theory behind a good painting: shadow, colour theory and the golden ratio.

My first public exhibition was in Hillerød in 2015. Things moved quickly from there, and since then I have exhibited both in Denmark and abroad, including Paris, Rotterdam and Boulogne, as well as taking part in a great many fairs and exhibitions in Denmark.

My paintings are characterised by clear, warm colours with few elements. Every painting is made in oil on good canvas and in many sizes.
